Disturbing Allegations of Unlawful Executions and Torture in Post-War Azerbaijan
Following the 44-Day War, concerning reports have emerged regarding unlawful executions and torture inflicted by Azerbaijani forces upon Armenian soldiers and civilians. These reports paint a grim picture, depicting individuals who were wounded, disarmed, or otherwise incapacitated being summarily executed. Furthermore, it is alleged that this pattern of violence extends beyond combatants, with civilians— including the elderly and disabled—facing similar fates. In fact, during and after the war, videos of executions and torture surfaced on social media platforms such as TikTok and Telegram. The perpetrators themselves filmed and disseminated these videos, creating waves of horror among their viewers. These videos depicted not only the mutilation of captured townspeople but also the bodies of combatants killed in the war.
